59 有人说答案是E，但是C(理由如下)也有道理，请大家讨论一下：E or C?

我自己在补充一下，请大家讨论：

焦点在选项C和E

C: 我仔细看了一下句子，是的their是会导致指代歧义，同时可能指代两个不同的复数名词

E：其实也有问题：我想说的是大家不觉得选项E的不常见吗？我查了一下语法书，这种倒装不是常规部分倒装，也不是全部倒装（大家可以自己倒装一下看看），但选项E其实不是规范的倒装可能是因为主语有定从的关系才这样用，但这样就会使句子看起来没有主语，i.e. the rate 象是 is belived to be 的宾语。

客观地说，要是逼着选一个，就选E了，因为C的语法错误是我们可以确定的。

我觉得是E,后面的their 指代trees

选C的话就变成指带sunspot cycles啦,不合句意
