标题: GMAT PRE上一到题目真心请教

Economic: On avarage, the emergency treatment for an elderly person for injuries resulting from a fall cost 11,000. A new therapeutic program can signicantly reduce an edlerly person's chances of falling though obviously desirable for many resons, this treament program will cost $12,500 and thus cannot be justified.

which undermine the conclusion?

C. A frequent result of injuries sustained in falls is long-term pain, medication for which is not counted among the average per-person costs of emergency treatment for eldly people's injuries from such falls.

不明白什么意思？谁帮忙翻译一下题目和答案？

一个老年人因为摔倒的治疗费用平均为11,000,一个新的治疗过程可以显著较少老年人摔倒的机会虽然也明显不使用于很多摔倒的原因,这个治疗过程需要12,500,所以不值得.

weaken就是治疗过程值得喽,

C 摔倒要疼好久,治疗疼痛的药物费用没有计算到平均的治疗费用中.

即实际的治疗费用高于11,000
