答案是E,不知道这句号如何翻,Hosea Hudson是一人laborer,那it 能只待他吗?而且前面是一组织后面是一人,还如何翻啊?

对答案没有疑义.我的问题是,E里的seemed to be的to be是必须的吗?我觉得seemed就可以了啊.

seem后面可以直接接名词,Collins里面的例子:
On the face of if, their marriage seems an improbable alliance.

只是这种情况比较少,究竟有没有区别还要请newbee来解释

OG11th的51题,对in that有这样的解释:
In that is a conjunction that means inasmuch as; because in that has largely gone out of use, it is considered stilted and overly formal. It also uses two words when one would do.
OG在这里认为in that已经过时了,过于正式而显得做作,并且可以用一个单词的地方in that用了两个单词来表达,就是罗嗦。反正OG这么说,我们也只好这么记下了。
