标题: 拜托教教我吧几个PP语法
几题PP语法不懂请教一下
test 1-140
It (is said) that no potential frontier has (such) fired the imagination or challenged the (ingenuity) of humankind (as has) space.
虽知道such 错误, 但是句末的as has space 该如何分析呢??

test 2-10

A covered bridge is built of wooden timbers _____ supporting trusses and a floor and are protected from weather by a roof.
A. when form B. so form C. form D. that form======>D
句末的 are protected from weather by a roof 又是指谁呢??

test 2-82
(As) the (centrally) control organ of the body, the brain governs the (functioning) of the body's (other) organs.========>B
central 当形容词的话那"control organ" 整个当作名词吗??
function本身就可当名词为何这边用functioning呢???难道辞意不同吗???

test 2-88
Glaciers helped (creation) the (thousands) of lakes (for) which the state of Minnesota (is) famous.============>A
help 之后直接接动词(create)吗??
可是为何for对呢

  我想是as...as倒裝句型囉
test 2-10
  are protected from weather by a roof應該指built of wooden timbers
test 2-82
  如您所說那"control organ" 整个当作名词，central 当形容词的话，至於functioning問題我不太知道如何解釋，可是B是明顯錯誤啦
test 2-88
  help 之后直接接动词(create)沒錯

只是個人短見，請高手繼續指教喔

此处function为动词. 名词化(the functioning)后比单用名词形式更强调动作.

可是为何for对呢

the thousands of lakes为名词,所以creation必错,因为其本身不作为名词修饰the thousands of lakes,所以一定是动词形.

help 之后应该接doing something 吧？或者help to do sth.

我是知道help之後的to是可以省略的 (應該對吧, 因為我語法不好,沒把握)

1 such---delete I am understand the "as has space" part.
2 wooden timbers
3"function" here means “to have or perform a function”。 Brain governs the body's other organs to have or perform a function,not only their function, so functioning should be used.
4 help (to)do
