explain development，好像不是吧，我当时理解是“要解释的事态”，但觉得也不像，迷惑中

maybe means a process or procedure that author seeking or finding sth.

It's a dynamic process that straight forward in one thing.

seeking an explain is a process.And boldface is used to describe a situation or a stage of seeking.

But it would be better if you post all the question on this thread.
