确实选E, 原因是：

“用过去分词，做的是keep的补语，排除AB
C多了个them
前面写的是them,所以要用复数，排除D”

班门弄斧一下：

确切的说做keep的补语是否用过去分词还要看是不是被动关系，在本题中显然provide和milk与牛都是被动关系，所以两个都要用过去分词，这样就排除A、B、C；

对于D和E的区别主要在于单复数，在keep后面是them来指代牛，所以牛一定是复数，因此选择E；
