这个问题我也没弄懂,不过刚才查了很久,理解如下:

1 弄清楚句子的结构:原句中:in 1986 there were 20,736 female ministers, twice as much   as 1977是主干,“almost 9 percent of the nation's clergy, ”是插入语。

D. double the figure for 1977
中,我认为是倒装句,double理解为形容词,应该是:the figure was double ,为了表示强调,将double提前,而was省略

3 for 此处表是比较。

朗文解释:double是predeterminer,像THE,HIS。。。一样。例句the value of his house is double what it was.

原句同位结构省略IS。

不知道可不可以这做:1.由于almost引导的句子由一对逗号引起来了,所以看做插入语可以省掉不看,所以后面的部分应该修饰主句或其中的某一个部分。根据句意是来修饰femali ministers的,所以由可数名词排除了A,

本人不明白CD选项:疑惑有几个

1.既然double在此处做限定词,adv.为什么不能加what it was?是单纯的因为不简洁吗?还是因为it指代不明确?五楼例句中说过double what it was ...为什么就可以??

2.为什么the figure for 1977 对?不应该改成in 1977 吗?有什么特殊目的吗?还是说无论in 还是 for都对?

3.什么时候用twice什么时候用double

 twice as many as sth 是比较的标准句型,如果没有合适的选项则可选double?这样的解释可以吗?

这题讨论的好热啊,我也说下我的看法,仅供参考啊

主句:A survey showed that in 1986 there were 20736 female ministers,twice as much as 1977.(double the figure for 1977)

1 the figure对应的是20736 female ministers; almost 9 percent...是对前面一句话的补充,插入语,在此题中可以删去不看,大体意思我没理解明白,是说 20736 female ministers 中有9%是clergy 还是 说 20376 female ministers 这些人数大学时clergy的9%,反正是不需要看的一句话 就像是 “这里有100个苹果,10个是绿苹果,苹果的数量是梨的数量的两倍”说不说那十个绿苹果都没有关系

2 数字与数字的对比,划线部分应给出1977年的什么与前面相对比,所以A,B都不对,少东西

3 有几个关于倍数的用法

a 倍数+ as...as     eg :ten times as big as

b 倍数+比较级       eg :twice more than

c 倍数+名词         eg :twice the number

个人理解twice 和double 可以互换

4 much 修饰不可数 题中 20736 female ministers 是可数,所以不可以用 as much as ,可换成as many as

5 E选项又of 又's的,重复,不对,另外,数字不能自己double而是被double (og解释)

6 至于C&D,不知道怎么说了,个人理解就是D比C简洁,并且C中it 指代不清

这样排除看来就选D了,幸好题中没有 double the figure in 1977  or  twice the number in 1977 个人觉得都一样,望指正:)

说了一堆,发现 LZ的问题还是没有答案,我也不知道 这个题中为什么用FOR,另外for 与 in 是否可以替换(for 1977 改为 in 1977 是不是也对?)
