答案是c，为何e不对？石林不是说动词优先于抽象名词么？请教nn，不胜感激！

我觉得lacking 在这里是修饰 damage 的， doing 在句中紧跟修饰对象的

而without 修饰主语，修饰关系就明确了

介词短语可以不紧跟修饰对象吗？还是仅仅without如此呢？
