标题: Got an offer from Boston U

Got called up by one of their admission officers today and told I am admitted with a 30K/yr scholarship.

By far the first school to extend me an offer and I am happy coz i felt BU would be a great reserve for me.

Anyone may be going to BU as well?

Yeah I applied for the 1st round. I submitted my complete application on Nov. 1st and had my interview a week later.

I am still waiting to hear from other schools. Goodluck to myself and to every CD applicants!!

personal background:

Computer Science Undergrad /w GPA 3.1 @U of Cal

GMAT 720

2 yr software engineer and 1 yr business operation

I really felt phone interview was an ineffective way of communicating with the interviewer. The whole coversation was just cold and robotic. Anyway, the questions they asked were:

1.tell me brifely about yourself

2.Why MBA now?

3.Could you tell me an experience where you took on a leadership role UNEXPECTEDLY

4.Could you tell me an experience where you worked as a team member that was NOT a leadership role

5.How do u like Boston U?

6.Do you have any questions for me?

中国学生的就业不太好. 来学校的top公司很少...学校对international students的就业基本没有任何帮助.

有排名高的 offer, 就不要来 BU 吧...

这样啊? 可是BU给奖学金还是不少的. 中国学生能在美国找到什么样的工作呢?BU在BOSTON, 这个优势是不是很明显?

BU奖学金是只cover tuition还是包括stipend 呢?

今天刚刚GMAT二战结束,GMAT 760(Q 51, V41),GMAT一战AWA 5.5分,这次AWA感觉写的不顺,估计分数不会高.但是第一次成绩高应该没什么关系.托福IBT 110(reading 27, listening 27, speaking 26, writing 30). 500强某美国公司国内工作3年(包括一年实习).申请BU能有奖吗?想最后赶这个Jan 15的deadline.
