Geologists believe that the Bering land bridge, over which human beings are thought to have first entered the Americans, disappeared about 14,000 years ago when massive glaciers melted and caused the sea level to rise several hundred feet worldwide.

(B) were thought first to enter
(C) were thought at first to enter
(D) are thought of as first entering
(E) were thought to first enter
KEY: A 我想請問一下 為什麼E不對 雖然我看過 之前的討論 但是我有一個很大的疑問 就是現在完成是不是應該有"持續到現在"的意思嗎
但是我覺得 這一句話沒有阿????

这里是现在完成式的"已完成"用法:动作或过程发生在说话之前某个没有明确说出的过去时间,现在已经完成了,并与现在的情况有联系.
E.g.:He's turned off the light.
"持續到現在"是另外一种"未完成"的用法:
E.g.He's lived here since 1960.

拙见。我觉得这句话说 are thought to enter也是可以的。 除非说have entered限定了这个词是发生在过去的。可是有这么一说么？请NN给举个例子，谢谢
