标题: 哪位大虾帮我一起选选学校吧

决定要明年秋天去念MBA,可是还是迷迷糊糊的,每天泡CD.但是还是有点摸不到头脑,

好了,说说自己的情况和想法,大家帮忙在学校的选择上出出主意吧

背景:

1) 同济的经济管理专业毕业的,GPA很普通

2) 工作快7年了,前6年半在HP,IBM和ORACLE,做销售和市场.后来去一家法国的咨询公司,我是中国的首代,但是公司情况不太好,所以我最近准备辞职,安心准备申请事宜

3), 报了IELTS,和GMAT,都是明年一月考, 估计TOFEL是没时间考了

志愿:

1) 比较喜欢欧洲,也明白美国的MBA比较好一些,所以想选6个学校,北美2个,欧洲4个,所选学校也应该分不同级别吧,要不都是最好的,结果一个OFFER都没有

2) 最想去的学校,只是凭名气而已哦,INSEAD, OXFORD和YALE,就是怕别人不要我

3)最喜欢的国家是德国,但是好象没有什么很出名的MBS,能不能推荐一个用英文上的课程,比如MBA, 或Master of Finance Engieering这样的

4)毕业以后的志愿,我虽然从事IT,但是都是为金融行业服务的,所以想毕业以后先去银行,做几年以后,再出来去CONSULTANT

大家出出主意吧!

有几个朋友是WHU毕业的,他们不推荐,我去过BOHUM,说实话,有点无聊的地方,想选大城市的

You can try EMST in Berlin. They only started this year, but it has already been considered as the would-be top 1 in Germany, the future competitor for Insead, IMD, IE, IESE and LBS.

Schedule is tight & wish you can meet all the application deadlines, including the official score reports. mlchina has already added 4 other good European programs...

Just cosult the status of EMST with a German Friend, got the comment as "started with a lot of merits, but had big trobles afterwards. still not established and very expensive. sponsored by big German conmpanies but all not happy till now... "

Seems there is hardly any good MBA program in German

Btw, is the acceptance of IMD very low? anybody here have the ranking of acceptance of top MBA will be very appreciated.

The selectivity is simimlar for all top MBAs including IMD. It's about 15%.

IMD admits approximately 3(up to 5) Chinese each year, since it's a relatively small program, 90 seats only.
