请问这里的absorbing and protecting refer to which one? buffer or a breakwater of rocks ?

其中有个错误答案

错误的原因是subordinate clause beginning with which is awkward and ambiguous

我怎么觉得没问题，which修饰前面一个vision不是挺好的，如果我想修饰its rudimentary sense因该怎么表达！

我再补从一个小问题，好比上面那种结构假设

句子+N(结尾），v+ing....

v+ing到底是修饰句子中的n,还是结尾的n

如果用句子+N(结尾），which。。。。很显然修饰句尾的那个
