不过C项这种句末结构怪怪的。。。

应该选C。E逻辑上有误。sound不可能prevent its acoustic energy from dissipating. C应该算是独立主格结构。翻译为：海水由于受到海底不同气温和密度而形成的分层，产生了boundaries（层与层之间的界限）. 这种界限阻止了声能的消散，进而使得声音在水中可以传播很远的距离。
