答案B    A错在哪呢 是不是and和 or 的区别

应该用and的～

"it" in A　指代不清

it 指代 Erie Canal , 代词先于主句主语出现优先指代主句主语咯

B是对的。or用的很好。从逻辑上讲，这条运河很少有地方宽40或者深12，没有什么不对。A的意思是这条运河很少有地方宽40且深12，限定条件更多一些而已。表示选择关系

 

A的主要错误是～it很多余～

but it ran 363 miles across the rugged wilderness of upstate New York与the Erie Canal 不平行。

but连接两个动作connected 和  ran  不对吗

搜索GWD-7-39 找不到呀?!

这里应该使用OR ,因为前面seldom是否定词

seldom是否定词，不过句子是肯定句。用and理论上没错。

A的真正错误是后面两个完整的句子中间没有连词。而且A加多了一个代词表达不简洁。

从意思上分析，363 miles 和前面的 40 feet, 12 feet 都是修饰主语的，形式上应该尽量并列。把其中一个变成了句子主干的一部分，显然不好
