很多人说一页比较好，但很难在一页里说清楚啊。。。

看你申请的学校的具体要求，各家要求不同，自己发信去问吧

很多时候学校网站上admission下面都会有具体的介绍，说得很清楚具体学校需要多长的PS.

可是我没有看到哪个学校对PS长度有要求呀，除了purdue

When the application starts on line, you would find the answer. Normally we prepare 3-4 pages (double spacing)

as my experience in economics application, 3-4 pages are too long. professors only look at key words... so I think a good strategy is to make things clear and concise. two of my classmates only have one page ps, they got into top business phd program. So I think one page is a good length choice. but I find it hard to condense everything into one page.
