标题: 问两道JJ答案不确定的CR

GWD29-17:

The total market value of real estate in Altonville has steadily declined over the past four years.  This decline has meant that the overall figure on which the city’s property tax is based—the assessed value of that real estate—has also declined.  The percentage of assessed value that was paid as property taxes to the city, however, did not change from year to year during this period.

The information above most strongly supports which of the following?

  1. The percentage of Altonville’s yearly revenue that comes from money collected in property taxes did not change over the past four years.
  2. The percentage of Altonville’s yearly revenue that comes from money collected in property taxes has declined steadily over the past four years.
  3. The amount of revenue that Altonville collected from property taxes was lower last year than it was four years ago.
  4. During the past four years, Altonville officials increased tax rates on other sources of revenue such as retail sales and business profits.
  5. Altonville will soon require property owners to pay a higher percentage of the assessed value of their property as property tax.

GWD-30-Q38

The ancient Nubians inhabited an area in which typhus occurred, yet surprisingly few of their skeletons show the usual evidence of this disease.  The skeletons do show deposits of tetracycline, an antibiotic produced by a bacterium common in Nubian soil.  This bacterium can flourish on the dried grain used for making two staples of the Nubian diet, beer and bread.  Thus, tetracycline in their food probably explains the low incidence of typhus among ancient Nubians.

Which of the following is an assumption on which the argument relies?

Which of the following is an assumption on which the argument relies?

  1. The tetracycline deposits did not form after the bodies were buried.
  2. The diseases other than typhus to which the ancient Nubians were exposed would not be affected by tetracycline.
  3. Typhus is generally fatal.
  4. Nubian grain became contaminated with tetracycline-producing bacteria prior to being harvested.
  5. Bread and beer were the only foods eaten by the ancient Nubians which could have contained tetracycline.

GWD给出的这两道CR的答案都不是很明确.

我觉得第一道B,第二道A.

第一道:market value decline----assessed value decline

      rate the same

      so, revenue decline: revenue= value需要征税的额度*rate

第二道:A取非可以削弱原文
