这道题在十月的G考里出现了，那位NN选的是C，GWD给的答案是E，但是觉得D也没有破绽，实在没有好的思路，请教NN，谢谢！

nonono D是肯定不对的   the nation’s highest military award 和 the Congressional Medal of Honor意思是对等的只不过是对the Congressional Medal of Honor进行一下补充说明是叫插入语吧（Gmat还是经常考的）如果选D那句子结构就不对了。
关于CE用插入语和非限定性定于从句我觉得还是有差别的    非限定性定于从句所表达的意思有不是文章主要所表达意思的意思（中国话都说不利落了......能理解吧）但他这句话
    the nation’s highest military award 还是满重要的。就像说Tom得了个什么什么奖（那个奖可是全世界只有一个啊！）这个在句子中所要表达的意思还是很重要吧。     不过这种方法慎用

最关键的是在选项后面是用long-overdue in OR in long-overdue
long-overdue 是形容词不是副词所以肯定不是修饰前面的awarded 应该直接修饰后面的名词recognization     如果选C就是long-overdue in recognization了不对吧

综上所以我选E       不知道对不

1. In recognition of...

2. D 说的是Congressional Medal of Honor，跟同位语the nation’s highest military award for long-overdue recognition of their outstanding bravery。注意 "overdue"，强调的是在五十多年后才受勋，是过期了的。如果是同位语的话，就是说这个勋章都是给过期的人的...

再看E，就明白了

此题再次教育我们读懂非划线部分的重要性
