这个知识点，今天发现有点糊涂。

大全604提醒我需要全面的了解suggest的各种用法

604 Repelled by bodily punishments such as maiming and branding, the idea of penitentiaries were reforms of the penal system by Quakers.

(A) the idea of penitentiaries were reforms of the penal system by Quakers

(B) penitentiaries were ideas for reform of the penal system suggested by Quakers

(D) Quakers suggested that the penal system be reformed as penitentiaries（C）

(E) the penitentiary was suggested to be a reform of the penal system by Quakers

正确选型C。

D项，单看结构的话，suggest后面接that从句，省略should是否正确呢？我在OG上还没有看到suggest用虚拟语气的题目。另外，大家已知的，GMAT经常会考suggest的什么用法呢？欢迎讨论。

我觉得这里suggest that 和 suggest....as 都可以。但D的逻辑意思不对，应该是the penitentiary as a reform of the penal system而不是the penal system be reformed as penitentiaries
