这个题目好象没有合理的解释，可能就是ETS晕了头。
记得在LSAT逻辑中，有一个现在分词开头的句子，其逻辑主语有问题（找到了一定给揪出来！）。

我觉得这题要从句意理解，首先the soil是特指，后面泛指；其次c从结构上导致歧义，
把a particular forest, air degree, weather conditions看作是the soil of后面接的三个泛指项，从而逻辑混乱。

What I can understand is that the two parts of expression not...but... should be strictly in parallel.

就因为对称要重复一遍吗?GMAT不是也有一条法则,在不影响理解句意的情况,能省略的要省略吗?请牛牛解答一下吧?为什么for the sake of 不能省啊?谢谢.
