ANSWER C.抛开时态,B的表示法是不是比C好些,更符合逻辑些呢?而且foreshortened好象更常用.

抛开时态，我还是觉得B不如C好，因为B的结构是：
make something done
这个结构好象没有见过，在词典上也没有找到。我觉得如果要表达这样的意思，应该用:
have something done
字典上有
make somebody/something do something
be made to do something
的结构，见下例：
I like him because he makes me laugh.
I was made to wait four hours before I was examined by a doctor.

而C却是非常IDIOMATIC的结构：
make something inevitable

LONGMAN里甚至没有foreshortening和foreshorten的字条.

想了很久，还是觉得两者意思的确有差异，比如

made...forshortened,是确切的发生了的动作

而make ....inevitable,是不定的，只是不可避免，是否发生并不确定。

Choice B, made ...events ... foreshortened 使事件缩短

Choice C, make the foreshortening of ...inevitable 使缩短不可避免

you can concisely say

"foreshotened(v)... events" such as (D)(E), although they are wrong for other reasons

GMAT语法中有make sth + sth, make sth + adj.这样的结构，但是没有make sth done这种用法。XDF讲的，说记着就行了。

这里的foreshortened 也可以看成形容词吧，我觉得还是句意上的差别
