If you aim top-20, I strongly suggest you to take some calculus & economics courses in your local college. Otherwise, it's tough.

since you are in the north america, you can take some courses in the local college, and try to get As.

thanks a lot, chipmunk, however, is it possible to catch up 2004 fall if i take coursed in local college?
It's little bit late for R1, but might be all right to catch R2. Check those colleges first. Usually the new semester starts in Sep.

Bro Chipmunk and Tsljz, I called around today and those colleges replied me that it is impossible to catch september courses. though i will still push them tomorrow, could you please advise me whether i should give a try if it is impossible to take additional courses. thanks a lot!

You can ask a professor from your undergraduate school to send extra rec letter, indicating though your GPA is low, you actually ranked top 20% in the class. That might help. In the mean time, you can continue to search for courses. I know Toronto has lots of colleges. Some of them may have Oct to Jan course.

Bro Chipmunk, thanks for your advise. I have found a professor for the letter and luckily, after a number of calls and explanation, I finally registered one calculus course even though it is half way already. Hope all I did will make my target closer.
I really appreciate your help. Should you have any other good idea, please let me know.

Hi, Chipmunk, do you think only one or two coursed is enough to show people's academic ability? I guess different university have different policies...since I contacted with University of Toronto before, they suggested me to take the last year's courses in a local college...therefore I guess one ot two courses is definitely not enough for lots of school.

Albert, you're right for Rotman. But, that a very rare case. Most schools only need calculus plus accounting, maybe add eco at most.
Chipmunk, you said calculus + accounting, however, I only managed to register calculus. However, my job is finance. Is it enough?
Finance is quite different from accounting..morphias, I would suggest you contact with your target school first since different schools could have different policies
thanks dude. howeve, my job was very much related to accounting. in fact, costing accounting was under my supervision, and I was in incharge of management reporting and adjustment from statutary book to management book under us gaap. do you think whether i can persuade adcom in the resume of my accounting proficiency?
hehe..I don't have lots of experience...
maybe you should contact with your target school to make sure everything is ok.
good luck, buddies.
