From the earliest days of the tribe, kinship determined the way in which the Ojibwa society organized its labor, provided access to its resources, and defined rights and obligations involved in the distribution and consumption of those resources.
(A)and defined rights and obligations involved in the distribution and consumption of those resources
(C)and defined rights and obligations as they were involved in its distribution and consumption

我认为A的involved也会产生歧义，可以被认为只修饰obligations而不修饰rights,如果用which were involved才算清晰。OG解释： Choice C preserves parallelism but is wordy, and its has no logical referent. 我认为its指代the Ojibwa society跟前两个分句中的its并列。

不知各位有何高见？

if C, there would be the same problem as A. "They" can only modified "obligations" but no "rights".

Or we can treat "rights and obligations" as an idiom; thus will no misunderstanding.

its肯定不是指Ojibwa society而是resources，所以必然错。

Choice C preserves parallelism but is wordy, and its has no logical reference.

its 為什麼不是指代前面 the Ojibwa society ？

另外发现一点除了正确的A选项 in the distribution and consumption of those resources外其它选项都没有指定of those resources，可以用这点删除其它选项吗？

its distribution and consumption 中的its假如理解为 SOCIETY,我认为是很蹩脚的英文,英文应该不会这样表达这种意思.

C的its should be the referent of resources,于是：

1。resources是复数

2。如果指代Ojibwa society 句子就不完整了：distribution and consumption of WHAT of Ojibwa society

我觉得分配和消费只能针对资源（resourse）来说，如果认为its指代society，意思就是社会的分配和消费，感觉怪怪的。

同意! 做SC還是得以句意為優先~分配跟消費當然是指resources~不可能是society~句意很怪!

that，this，those，these除了在比较句型中可以指代，其他一律不能单独指代
those在这里只能是形容词，无指代的问题
C中的its无逻辑中的指代对象，如果指代前面的复合名词，主谓不一致，指代society逻辑不对

mark一下：

C 中的 its 如果指代 society，则改变原句句意；如果指代 those resources，1.主谓不一致 2.不应该是主格

但是manhattan明确说过：同一句话里面的it和its只能指代同一个对象，如果its指代resouce的话就是硬伤，不应该指代resources

在GMATCLUB中找到了对此题的解答，可供参考：

Clearly C) is wrong.

(C) and defined rights and obligations as they were involved in its distribution and consumption

here "they" is incorrectly referring to "tribe" which is singular and was referred to using "it" as in "its labor" and "its resources".
Also, "its" in "its distribution" is incorrectly referring to plural 'resources'
