为什么C不行啊，没看懂！为什么说他们修饰filigree而不是就近修饰tentacles

能翻译一下子么？我看了以前的讨论，还是不明白忍

spawned表被动，后面有agent： by a single fertilized spore

extending表主动，后面有介词短语for more than 30 acres，表明如何extending，如果用被动后面这个介词短语显得很莫名其妙。

两个都是分词可以并列。

第一个AND是什么和什么平行,如果是MUSHIROON 和TENTACLES平行的话,那就比较好理解SPAWNED 和FERTILIZE是修饰FILEGRESS,但是为什么不能理解成filigree of mushrooms和rootlike tentacles 平行呢?这样的话不就修饰TENTACLES了吗?

我对语法的术语不会讲。把句子扯开看就明白了。因为不能有动词，所以was spawned用spawned， extended用extending。
把整个句子的结构看明白了就很好理解了。

这样看起来明白了一点，实际上还是说他们一个有被动的意思，一个有主动的意思

2个分词的并列。就怕考试的时候图快，直接就按照基本的平行概念做了〉。。

其实这道题ETS已经给了大家足够多的额外信息了，看第一句＂Scientists have recently discovered what could be the largest and oldest living organism on Earth＂，很明确的表明了Fungus的两个特性是old和large,那么第一个特性spawned by a single fertilized spore some 10,000 years ago＂肯定是修饰fungus,表示fungus在一万年前就被产卵了，而不会是什么tentacles了，接下来第二个特性自然要说是large，那么肯定是(a fungus) extending for more than 30 acres(现在分词表状态）。
