请问为什么不可以用HAVE MAINTINED这个时态了,感觉也是一个持续的动作啊.

是因为不确定现在是否还MAINTAIN的原因吗.

一般在GMAT语法中，可以用过去时的尽量用过去时，如果要出现完成时之类的时候一般要有比较明确的指示而不是根据感觉。

Tubman's contempararies 到现在都死了,当然不能用have maintained.
