A doctor prescribed 18 cubic centimeters of a certain drug to a patient whose body weight was 120 pounds. If the typical dosage is 2 cubic centimeters per 15 pounds of body weight, by what percent was the prescribed dosage greater than the typical dosage?

A. 8

B. 9

C. 11

D. 12.5

E. 14.8

Answer: D

the typical dosage is 2 cubic centimeters per 15 pounds of body weight

typical的情况
            每15 pounds 可以
        有
             2 cubic centimeters 的
        dosage

所以原本
120 pounds 的病人，

应该要用
(150/12) * 2 =16 cubic centimeters 的
dosage

但医生开了
18 cubic centimeters，

因此比原来多了
( 18-16 ) / 16 = 0.125 => 12.5%
