但是有些问题还是没有解决，还是不太懂b和c中的so that有什么区别，还有c中的used产生重复的现象！！

C确实used to不好，但是其他都不对，B主要with短语，一般都是错的

个人认为, choice D 中的
which 无法指代employing …….这整句话,

题目说的是 employing………..这整件事使得他们
disease- or pest-resistant

而非 technologies 或是 plants 让他们

所以D 的
which 用法错误.

而C 中的plants, 个人认为是指 plants

如果with结构修饰名词，那么这个名词就是with结构的逻辑宾语；

如果with结构做伴随情况状语，常常用逗号隔开（不用逗号隔开也有可能是伴随情况状语），可以跳跃修饰谓语；由于有这个属性，一般比从句要简洁明晰。

不能说with一般都不对关键还是看产不产生歧义吧

呵呵，解释的好。后面DE， which, that 都不能用来指代前面一系列的动作。

Employing 在这里是动词，是researcher 发出的动作；used 是形容词他们不会冗余。C中they 就近指带plants

A:making的逻辑主语错.by the same techniques..(AWKWARD)
B:with techniques (AWKWARD),so that前面的逗号不好.
C:emloying...used to... REDUNDANT. so that不算错,但是wordy.而且这样用employing的逻辑主语成了they.illogical
D:which无指代
E:for genetically enhancing限制修饰techniques,比用to enhance好,用to enhance做目的状语修饰employing.

应该选C

e有两个缺陷

1、enhance的形容词性是enhanced,而不是enhancing,可以在朗文里查到

2、E的顺序应该是employing the same techniques that make genetically enhanced plants....，而不应该写成题中的啰嗦结构

这题很肯定的说是E，the same 。。。that是一个固定的idiom，that指代the same 之后的名词，这是定语从句的一种特殊用法。

只需要知道这一个语法点就够选E了。另外其他的选项都有缺陷，they，them夹在一堆复数名词和主语（也是复数名词）之间，指代非常ambiguous，也只有E避免了这个问题，因为是idiom。

回23楼，E可以不看作形容词啊，for doing 的形式，enhance当作动词用也可以啊~
C里面的they看着不爽，so that也很啰嗦。

所以想来想去还是选E了

在同一个句子里面

代名子竟然是优先就近指代还是指代原题主词？

这题在C和E之间争

我个人选

因为我整个不能苟同C里面的so that（不是表结果就是表目的）

就算so that说的通(因为之前被用来这样用所以以致于他是........)

那怎么知道他这边的they没有修饰歧义的问题（指techniques or plans)

再来就是E

其实我觉得for genetically enhancing这个ing很不顺眼

CD上说如果这边的that修饰techniques，那么them指什么？

我的问题是
难道跳过for genetically enhancing plants之后修饰techniques

后面的代名词then就不能指代跳过的东西？

by the way,原句也和E比较相似

排除法，选C。

E中的that有歧义，可以是修饰technique或者是plant，这种混淆的表达一定要坚决排除。

C中的so that虽然看起来不好，但是也找不到证据说这种结构是错的。比如我记得有一题就是not...so that...so that...的结构，看起来极度不爽，但是与别的选项相比，这个awkward的选项就是对的，只能矮个里拔高子。

做GWD的语法感觉比做逻辑和阅读都要费劲多了，感觉做这样的题有时不是找正确选项，而是在一堆awkward的选项里找相对awkward程度最轻的一个，这一点上有点像逻辑的提问句，改写下就是：which of following, if correct, is least awkward?
