标题: 还是语法题，谢谢
东方的笔记上说：all ballet dancers是对的。all of ballet dancers就错了。必须改成all of the ballet dancers。也就是all of 后面的必须是特指n。
2002年1月
17、The Spanish claiming title to all of North America and established the oldest city in the United States, St. Augustine, Florida, in 1565.
the key：A没有问题。
我的问题是：为什么B不是all of the North America呢？
37、Under the certain conditions, a rainbow appears at the end of a rain shower in the quarter of the sky opposite the Sun.
the key:A应该是under certain conditions，可是我有一点不明白为什么要去掉the呢？根据什么？

37、在某种情况下，这里就不用加the来限定了吧。本身就是说的不确定的事物，为什么要用确定的冠词呢？我确认我也做过这个题目，不过我对到前半句我的语感就告诉我应该选a了。具体理由也不是非常确定。高手再确认确认？

17题不会，好象all of the north america也读上去很顺。

certain conditions本身是泛指，不是特定，所以一定不能加 the,否则逻辑上就有问题了
其它如 some people, some animals, 也是同理

这个不违反总结的规律，我是从这几点考虑地
1、all＋地名或all of +地名，表示“全……的人"
2、城市名,国家名,地名前面通常不加the
1+2=all of North America 正确

all of +单数名词/不可数名词可能是个规律
