同一个主语在不同的时间比较，似乎常是补出主语和谓语动词

此题因为是用定语从句修饰主语才这样的吗

弱问：是说than, as不同在于as可以直接比较两个句子，而than这里只能比较两个名词？

但是如何解释in better sound than was ever before possible？如果根据以上的解释，应该是in sound better than was ever before possible？否则上面的句子应该为with much higher speeds than is currently possible而不是with speeds much higher than is currently possible..那位帮忙梳理一下？而且为什么主语会省略呢？at speeds (that will be) much higher than (speeds that) are currently.

应该没有was，因为还有以下例子

than scientists previously estimated.

前一个要有was，因为是被估计，后一个是科学家估计所以不用被动。

than不是比较前后两个名词。

比较关键是不能引起歧义，被比较的部分不能太过省略到被误认为是和主句里的其他成分比，比如主语和宾语比。

最近刚过了一遍OG的SC,发现用排除法作上题很容易。
A,B，因为用WITH,ETS中总是认为类似Subject+v+n +with... WITH引导的介词短语有修饰歧义，with可能修饰n，也可能修饰主语，所以都不选。
C,D,E中，C明显不对，D的THAT与SPEEDS不一致，所以E是所有选项中最佳的。

=====> construction ....是現在式, five years ago是過去式, 時態不同不能省略動詞
