标题: GMAT中might和may的区别在哪里?

GMAT中might和may的区别在哪里? 就是时态上的区别吗?

上XDF的时候老师说GMAT中can\ could ; might\ may的区别仅在时态,

可是OG11th 第1题中的might好象不是may的过去式吧这是题干:

1.    Although a surge in retail sales
        have raised hopes
        that there is a recovery finally underway, many economists say that without a large amount of spending the recovery might not last.

大家同意吗?

同理,我觉得would也不仅仅是will的过去式,代表语气的

这是第8题的题干:

8.      Rising inventories,
            when unaccompanied correspondingly
            by increases in sales, can lead to production cutbacks that would hamper economic growth.

大家同意么?

might不仅仅是过去式,更代表一种可能性,从可能性大小来说,它属于情态动词里可能性最小的

would被用作过去式还是很常见的,但是would也有代表委婉的语气,更多的是在虚拟语气中使用

lz可以自己查一下字典就知道了,关于个别词的用法和意义还是多查字典,在这里等回答时间也是浪费掉了,还不如自己去看效率更高点,而且更准确

may/might在一定情况下是可以互相转换使用的。
