标题: 商科phd可不可以只读两年就溜走呢？

master没有那么多合适的可以申请，那么phd可不可以申上之后只读到master就走人呢？

请教前辈们

为什么申请上了商科phd要溜走？申请的难度很大，能入学大家都很珍惜。一般走的都是被kick out的吧。

而且很多学校不会给你master学位的。

读完的前途比退学找工作的前途要好的多，为什么退出

厄...谢谢斑斑~主要是这样的，我并不想做研究，对研究的兴趣也不是很大，但是现在的专业有master的非常少，有的也是排名太靠后的学校，所以犹豫着要不要申请phd

请教斑斑？

想工作的话，为什么不工作几年申请MBA？这样对将来找工作也有帮助。

商学院倒真的很少读PhD半途拿master走人的，你可以试试，不过要看清楚学校是不是会在两年之后发master

This plan does not make sense.
First, no matter what level of school you are enrolled, the PhD course work is research orienated.
Please don't expect those training can help you in competing with MBA students.
Second, even middle-level business PhD program is much tougher to get admission than many prestigous MBA programs.
Why choose a tougher route for backup?

The reason there are only few master programs in business instead of MBA is simple.
In terms of helping graduates to get a decent job, a somewhat "too general" MBA program is quite enough and even works better than so called "professional program".

A competetive job seeker not only equips with ability and knowledge, but also has common sense and nice communication with people. A good MBA program can provide you those stuff in both coursework and endless job events.

It was said that UChicago GSB will give the PhD student a MBA at the same time. Not sure whether it's applicable to PhD program quiter.

However, if one is fortunate to enter PHD program of Chicago, it's much better to gain PhD than quitting.

I'm afraid I can't agree with you on this point. In my eyes, MBA and Master of Science in Business Administration are two different programs that designed for people with different career goals. I won't say a MBA is definately more valuable than a MSBA, because people who hold those two different degrees serve different functions in the organizations. As you said, MBA is more general perspective, while MSBA focus more on the technical skills, such as quantitative analysis, market research, IT, etc. From the business managerial perspective, MBA is a more well-rounded program for those who need a thorough and systematic coverage of all business knowledge in order to prepare themselves to be a future manager in the organazations. But the MSBA do have some merits for those who wants to work as a specialist, or a more technical oriented level management. Besides, MSBA program also offer certain amount of business elective courses, and also embeded business concepts into relevant specialized areas. That's the reason that MSBA is qualified to be offered from B-schools.

我以前好像没怎么注意到MSBA这个学位，请问有那些学校提供？

我感觉前面的人说的也没错，MBA对于很多人来说找工作足够了。
