画线部分是不是引起修饰不确定，夹心？？？大家能说说夹心的简单情况吗

例子没一时没找到，我觉得

D中的without the benefit of the wheel
or animal transport,

没有修饰对象的

E的修饰是可以的，但它改变了原文的成分E中把Architects and stonemasons做主语了。

而原文是同位语

without ...应该紧放在主语后面，逻辑上修饰maya,

so, A is right

我觉得ＯＧ偏向：　如果夹心，应该修饰前面的，如果逻辑意思上不是修饰前面的，那么就错．

大家觉得呢？

As for the squinted modifier, please refer to OG 256E (I am not sure because I have no OG at hand now, please search for "squint" at OG)

由此可见，分词短语修饰前边，修饰的是前边句子的主语！！！！（至少ets这么认为的，以后这么理解就可以了）
介词短语也一样
