第一题中如果表示解释上文的话，b明显好，d中被逗号隔开的分词有做伴随的歧义

第二题与你同选，economical是个不可宽恕的错误

因为economical的错误，我也选了D，但还是觉得前面应该是have to know，还请高人指点啊～答案到底选哪个呢？

第一题：burning只修饰fire这个名词，是定语；不是状语，不修饰前面句子的动作

第二题：首先排除CDE

为了。。。科学家必须。。。。

would have to是虚拟语气，表示早该做了，例如：

I would have told you that before you married.
