I'm currently studying in the US. College junior. Studying Supply Chain and Entreprenuership ( double major) My school's supply chain program ranked pretty high in the US (top 15) and I'm in school's honors program
Current GPA 3.6 One academic paper ( english, top journal, supply chain related) Writing my honors thesis now. Done one consulting project with my professor for a fortune 500 company. Currently doing co-op for a medium sized company. Have started a student-run company freshman year
I'm looking in to MS degree in supply chain management / operations management and operations research. Recently, I came to this forum and found out that there are actually PHD degrees for my field. I don't know if my backgournd is good enough to apply for a PHD from a top 20 b-school.
Thanks and congradulations to those who got accepted by my dream schools~~
Update on 08/04: Just took the GMAT, studied for 10 days and got 690/5.5 91%. Now I seriously need suggestions. MS or PHD and I need financial aid for my masters. What kind school should I focus on. I will take GMAT again the end of this month just to make the score more competitive.
Not familiar with your field. But I think you should make it clear on some questions:
1. What is your career plan? Academia or industry? If academia, go phd. I think your background is good enough. Try get a higher GMAT and strong RLs.
2. If you wanna go to industry after your education, just go for master or try to get a job immediately after finishing your undergraduate. Do not go for phd just because of phd
My two cents.
我有个朋友就是在美国念了本科。毕业的时候,他拒绝了PHD的OFFER,宁可自己先找工作的。
嗯,人各有志,了解到自己想要什么,什么适合自己最重要
虽然有些时候知道自己想要什么挺难的
