这里的root非要用被动么?

感觉这个被动很别扭,不用被动的话

Thelonious Monk, who was a jazz pianist and composer, produced a body of work both rooted in the stride-piano tradition of Willie (The Lion) Smith and (rooted in) Duke Ellington

这里的rooted in可以省略么?感觉应该可以

1. 这里不管怎么样都是被动啊. 前面已经有动词produced. 所以这边rooted 除非你再前面加一个 that/which 或 连词要不然都是过去分词修饰work. 加连词的话就句意就不同了.

2. 省的不只是 rooted in 吧? 省的是 rooted in the stride-piano tradition of ,

所以这题句意来说用both... and 硬要平行反而不清楚. 省也不行

这里的rooted好像是过去时吧~~

root in 是 来源于~~

应该不会是被来源于哦。。。

root in 中的 root 通常是名词. 就像aid in

这里是过去分词修饰不是过去式表主动.

这题最后补充一下好了. 我想大家误会句子的意思了. 句子是说Thelonious Monk,  的 work 是 从Willie (The Lion) Smith and Duke Ellington 那来的. 所以是被动 你们方向想颠倒了. be rooted in 可以是 be developed from  不要被 'in' 迷惑就以为是主动. 从句意不难看出来. 后面的 "yet" 从句. 说明的Thelonius 从 willie and duke (main stream) 那偷师 但是 in many ways stood apart.  :）　　希望够清楚了

喔　我是只就这题而言。　不过ｒｏｏｔ　作动词倒是还有寻找／去除的意思。还有一些习惯搭配倒是记不清了

root 是不及物动词的时候也有 root in 的组合~~所以不一定是名词哟~~

做及物动词的时候也有root 。。。in

如：root a cutting in the earth 插枝栽树

      War is rooted in the political crises. 战争是由政治危机造成的。

呵呵。既然是不及物那后面介词短语都是修饰ｒｏｏｔ　那不是随便你组吗。　：P
