Q41.
Marconi’s conception of the radio was as a substitute for the telephone, a tool for private conversation; instead, it is precisely the opposite, a tool for communicating with a large, public audience.

the answer is E but i saw that of the other version is C. which one is right?
i do not think that conceive of sth to be is a proper usage to word conceive. And " it" in C appropraitely referred to the radio. Thus i prefer C

C里的that从句指代不明确,而且那个instead一般不那么用吧,一般是放在句末

that 是指代前面的 tool,instead 有这样用过的,我不记得了,好像是大全还是gwd里出现过的

I prefer C. "Perceive ... as..." is in my ken and notes.
I have question on E: do you think "other than what it is, precisely..." is wrong on gramma or on GMAT preference?
Thansk.
