标题: GWD30-4

The three women, liberal activists who strongly support legislation in favor of civil rights and environmental protection, have consistently received labor’s unqualifying support.

  1. have consistently received labor’s unqualifying support
  2. are consistently receiving the unqualifying support of labor
  3. have consistently received the unqualified support of labor
  4. receive consistent and unqualified support by labor
  5. are receiving consistent and unqualified support by labor

Answer: C

谁能解释一下为什么是C, 有理由用完成时吗?我选的是D

作者: gonghao    时间: 2006-8-2 16:35

D:eceive consistent and unqualified support by labor

其consisten修饰support显的奇怪,应该式三个人一直受到labor的【unqualified】的支持。

另外by不好

D明显破坏了原句的意思

这题选项A. C中unqualifying和unqualified有什么区别吗?还是完全根据A of B 结构优于A B 结构?

查字典的結果 發現沒有unqualifying這個字 正確用法是unqualified 所以選C

虽然版主说得在理,但是在选项没有明确线索要用完成时的时候,是不是改用一般时呢,何况句子理也时用一般时的,还请指教

我觉得D,E的问题在于support by labor,这是不正确的表达,正确的表达应该是support given by labor.

这题有没有大牛好好给解释一下A.C到底差在哪里?
作者: wondey    时间: 2006-12-11 20:42

v+ing 表示动作和过程

v+ed表示状态和结果

A of B 优于AB

A unqualifing 不好

D by 不对

C because consistantly, so use have

一点看法:

有理由用完成时态,未划线部分中使用一般现在时----对时态有一定的暗示作用~ consistent表明动作的延续性~ 即从含义上分析,有延续至今并对现有状况造成影响的意味,应该用完成时态

另,我现在刚刚开始,OG还没有做完,不过感觉一般出现的时态不要轻易改动~

对于A来说 大家不觉得少了个the?

D has three problems,

1/ recieve ==> recieved,

2/ consistent and unqualified ==> the consistent and unqualified

3/ support by ==> support of

作者: rorarora    时间: 2008-8-22 23:33

i always feel it should be support for....

and always ignore that "sb's doing " .....

Is it a definite mistake?

作者: dhdlorent    时间: 2008-8-22 23:42

you can support for sth, and get the support of sb....

a different use between noun and verb.

作者: dhdlorent    时间: 2008-8-22 23:43

in english, no such expression as unqualifying

always unqualified

how about sb's doing....--I mean the structure....is normally wrong....it seems to me......

the use of  V-ing as a noun...already depends; and it seems to me the use of sb's doing is almost impossible........this one can be eliminated instantly.....

but haven't find proof yet.........

作者: dhdlorent    时间: 2008-8-23 00:05
normally, it is not a good way of expression.
