同意13楼的说法
C选项把ethnic heritage 同Northeasterners 放在一起作比较，范了严重错误。另外，在GMAT语法中，have在表示“拥有”的意思时，往往是接具体名词，如have a book, have a car等等，而不接heritage之类的抽象名词
B选项是可以接受的
share 至少有两种用法，一种是X and Y share sth.,另一种是X share sth. with Y.
B选项用的是后一种用法。same 放在这里只是起强调作用，跟the same as 的固定搭配无关
另外，我可以看出来，大家在讨论时，都是先假定参考答案的绝对权威性，然后想方设法找出与参考答案不符的选项中的漏洞
可是我想知道的是，出了OG提供的答案之外，其他参考答案是否也都出自ETS？或是由新东方老师自己提供的？如果属于后者的情况，那么就不该迷信参考答案

这题我也选得B,但现在认为C对.楼上说C选项把ethnic heritage 同Northeasterners 放在一起作比较，范了严重错误。但其实比较的是residents of the Southeast 和 Northeasterners.
share the same的确是重复.

在Google输入 "share the same" (记得加英文引号），会发现很多这样的结构。
我想，如果选C的话，应该在as后补出have，就是as Northeasterners have才对。

我也认为as后面应该补出助动词，所以当初我也选了B。但是发现有好几道题都不按规则办事了。
主语，谓语助动词都有不按规则省得。像底下这个凭什么就省了阿。

這是我的理由!
I share the same book as you. 如果AS 後面沒有補出動詞, 此句會有兩種可能性
1. I 跟 YOU 比
2. Book 跟 you 比 --->OG 說的dangling, 兩個名詞出現, 不清楚
所以本提的 the same as 跟 share with 的取捨上, 把 the same as 放棄掉因為邏輯上不清, 而
I share the same cake with you. 我跟你分同一個蛋糕 是合理的!
有人假設這裡是the same ethic heritage 的比較, 而意思上不能只同一個而是個人的 ethinic heritage, 我想這個說法並不是那麼的絕對, 就像我蛋糕的例子一樣, 是可行的!

definitely C is right. but I do not know why B is wrong.

感觉这个句子侧重于southeast和 northeast在某一方面的比较，have the same..as..可以体现出两个事物的比较，
而share ..with则不能，用not share with暗含着northeasterner可能有不同的ethnic heritage，也可能没有ethnic heritage.

语法的复习就是这样，不同时期一定可以发现不同问题，一个月后重看这道当初的错题，the same....as的用法一定是个考点，而B的确不好，可是觉得算不上是大问题，至少与C的比较对象差异而言，省略是有章可循的，上面这题因为没有宾语所以those后面省略谓语不会有歧异，可the same..as明显比较对象出了差错，重新翻出这题，希望大家再次讨论！！

觉得是B。先排除A,D,E
C后面需要补助动词，因为这是主谓宾结构，没有助动词会认为是宾语在比较，下面用og 19说明

小弟愚见：正确答案应该是B，因为按照OG的说法，the same x as y，x和y要平行，但是这里显然不是ethnic heritage和Northeasterners比，见下面OG11-26/10-54。而share sb with sth的使用是正确的，同意the same强调的说法，有OG“解释”为证（其实考点上没有关系，只是正好用了这个短语），见OG11-52解释最后一行：the point of the main clause is that all

所以B不对，的意思是because many residents of the Southeast do not share the same ethnic heritage among themselves（省略）with...这样说不通。

其实这题的考点就是用 大家脑子里固有的“the same as”来让大家上套。真实的情况是想让大家辨别句意以后，选用share with词组。
还有 所谓什么C里面As后面是“省略动词”云云，都算是牵强附会，简单问题复杂化。AC2个as后面助动词都不能省略。而且补充一下，正是AC的as，才造成了歧义，让 the same 和 share/have 都惦记着！

I think why "do" can be omitted in choice c is because the predicate of the subject without an object can be omitted
Thus, c is right.

1)B不如C，是因为B中share和the same的同时使用会在介词使用上产生矛盾(share with, the same as)，难以两全。C用have很巧妙地回避了这个矛盾。
2) share... as is unidiomiatic, it should be share..with as in B
but B is also wrong. The word "same" is redundant since "share" already means same.
3)share heritage搭配不合适
补充:
share the same sth. as…这个表达本身可能并不算错, 例句如下:
1. Mongolian herdsmen of today share the same lifestyle as those their ancestors have practiced since time immemorial.
2. The alternative sources of information mentioned in the passage would probably not share
the same views as the State Department. (逻辑大全)
第一句意思表达清楚, 但第2句可能是有点毛病的, 如同本题的A, 把A还原:
residents of the Southeast do not share the same ethnic heritage as Northeasterners (share)
翻译residents of the Southeast不会共享ethnic heritage, 而这个ethnic heritage是Northeasterners共享的。
问题在Northeasterners (share), Northeasterners和谁share, 这里表达不清, 因为前面提到residents of the Southeast是do not share的。
如果这句是residents of the Southeast share the same ethnic heritage as Northeasterners (share), 就比较好理解了。
而C补全应该是: residents of the Southeast do not have the same ethnic heritage as(ethnic heritage) Northeasterners have
这样从意思上看应该是C好于A。

这句话比较的事物应该是东南方人的ethnic heritage和东北方人的ethnic heritage，，因为这是ethnic heritage不同，才会造成在New York City和Boston流行的东西在Richmond和Rleigh被忽视。
因此，C错，因为C比较的是东南方人和东北方人，如果它是比较的东南方人的ethnic heritage和东北方人的ethnic heritage，那么Northeasterners应该变成Northeasterners'。
而B表示的意思就是东南方人的ethnic heritage和东北方人的ethnic heritage不同，因此是正确的！
