Exports of United States wood pulp will rise consid-

erably during this year. The reason for the rise is

that the falling value of the dollar will make it

cheaper for paper manufacturers in Japan and West-

ern Europe to buy American wood pulp than to get

it from any other source.

Which of the following is an assumption made in

drawing the conclusion above?

(B) The quality of the wood pulp produced in the

United States would be adequate for the

purposes of Japanese and Western European

paper manufacturers.

Europe would prefer to use wood pulp

produced in the United States if cost were

not a factor.

答案给的是B，我觉得C也同样有道理，不知其他同学的意见，thanx...

B肯定是对的,
C错就错在if cost were not a factor. 原体说的是因为美元贬值造成cost下降导致日本增加进口,你干吗要排除成本因素呢?
还有,不要随便怀疑新东方的答案,应该说没有错误

neither of the two choices seems to be perfect.

According to the argument above, the correct assumption should be like this:

Assumption: Price is the main factor to paper manufacturers in Japan and Western Europe when deciding wthether to use wood pulp produced in the United States.

Hence, this question doesn't look like a typical ETS one.

呵呵，你误会我了，这里面我说的新东方的答案是指“你现在做的这套XDF试题的答案”，因为我以及我的同学做过，确实没什么错误，我只局限这套题。我可不会膜拜哪个机构。。

gonghao 请解释一下为什么不佳,如果a不成立,能推出结论么?
