i calculated above question this way:
1) through walkway area's equation to find x.
4 small squares = x*x*4=4x^2
2 rectangulars'area = x*(x+5)*4=4x^2+20x
sum it all: 4x^2+4x^2+20x=132
x=3
(3+5)^2=64 so patio's area is 64,therefore, b is the correct answer.
or: the outside square minus the inside square equal to 132
(x+5+2x)^2 - (x+5)^2 = 132 => x=3
