乘(1+X)或X都是可以的,乘什么到后面就用10去乘那个数
by the same fraction 应该是说每3个小时增加的百分数都相同

乘X还是乘1+X,其实都一样。因为问题问的就是那个10*X, 或者10*(1+X).
其实复利问题也是等比数列问题。
等比数列的q,相当于复利里面的(1+i),复利率就是q-1.
设增加的比率为x,then the amt. on 4:00pm should equal to 10*x, by the same token, the amt. on 7:00 should be (10*X)*X=14.4 X=1.2
the amt. on 4:00pm =10*1.2=12
