标题: 请问as result of 与resulting from的区别是什么？

下面是一道PP的题

The cottontail rabbit population in Oringe County, California, has increased unchecked in recent years as a result of the removal of the native fox population and the clearing of surrounding woodlands.（正确答案）

（ The cottontail rabbit population in Oringe County, California, has increased unchecked in recent years, resulting from the removing of the native fox population and the clearing of surrounding woodlands.）这里resulting from错在什么地方？

另外正确答案中，如果前面用removal，后面为什么不用clearance呢？

修饰歧异，不知道resulting修饰什么。

第二个问题没法解释，我们只能说为什么错了，或者什么没有什么好，没法说为什么对。
