个人感觉A更好。理由：尽管C从实行对成的角度来说比A好，但GMAT尽管强调对成，但不能为了对称而对称，这这方面OG或大全中，有几个例子就是尽管形式对称很好，但就是不选它。回到此题，C很明显的一个缺陷就是owners使用了复数，造成后面未画线部分的them指代不清，而且这个them与C选项中的their指代不统一。而A采用了单数后，就避免了这个问题。不清楚正确答案选C是否还有其它的原因？

感谢jandjshi的答复。你说的很有道理，在OG中确实有一些代词指代不统一的情况，如你所举的例子。但在OG中也确实有打破形式对对称的特例。所以这样就感觉ETS为了得到正确答案，有时这样说，有时那样说，到底多个矛盾出现的时候，哪个规则的优先级更高呢？就拿这题来说，我还是认为舍弃形式的对称（C选项），而取指代清楚，逻辑意思明确的选项A。毕竟表达清楚最重要，因为这是本质。而形式对称再怎么好，不过还是形式的，外在的东西。
至于你提到的A选项中的the会造成特指，有一定道理。但因为这个理由排除A，个人还是觉得不是很有说服力。
