我觉得D有几个问题：

1. assisting flies to taste the hydrocarbons on propestive mates to distinguish ... 中的两个to结构表目的有点绕嘴。

2. assist的对象不应该是泛指所有的flies, 它的对象应该只是那些能够taste the hydrocarbons 的flies.

3. hydrocarbons并不能帮助苍蝇们taste the hydrocarbons，它是帮助苍蝇们distinguish their own species from others.
