nearly ... more, 没有 nearly ... as likely as 的。

在这里，前后是比较planning to practise in socioeconomically deprived areas, 所以B错，因为B没有提到minority graduates在什么方面上是other graduates的4倍。所以答案是A

to the best of my knowledge, I could not agree with lester's opinion

I think both "nearly 4 times more likely than" and "nearly 4 times as likely as" are correct use of it's respective phrase. The reason why C is incorrect is because it's missing "are" after "as likely as"

moutain A is 3 times higher than is mountain B (or moutain B is)

moutain A is 3 times as high as is moutain B(or moutain B is)

both should work

please correct me if I am wrong.

我们不会说“和你一样接近4倍”，这话不合逻辑，”比你多接近4倍“会比较好吧。
