标题: 大家看看这封信暗含了什么吗
We appreciate your interest in Cornell University's College of Human
Ecology, and your patience through this transfer admissions decision
process.

As the admissions committee is completing it's review of transfer
folders,
we have a question regarding your application, and I was wondering if
you
could address it. We were hoping that you could elaborate on your
academic
interest essay. You selected the Policy Analysis & Management major
(PAM),
and mentioned a bit about your interests. You mentioned an intererest
in
'serving human beings'. PAM can certainly cover those interests - but
so
can several other majors. So our question to you is simply ' what is
it
specifically about the College of Human Ecology, and the Policy
Analysis &
Management major that draws you here rather than another program?
'. Making a strong match to your intended major is an important factor
in
the admissions decision.

We would appreciate it if you would please look through the
descriptions of
our majors on the web site www.human.cornell.edu , and reply back with
a
brief essay highlighting how your interests could be best met through
Human
Ecology. We will then make a decision as quickly as possible.

没看出暗示...

对方写的很明白，希望你能进一步阐释why do you choose us. 我个人猜测，对方觉得你很不错，他们喜欢你，但又觉得你在选校（专业）的原因上有点模糊，所以想让你给打个补丁，让他们毫无顾虑的录取你。
