B中的comprehend后面的逗号不是多余的。 句子的结构是： The brain is something of a stimulus reduction system, a means to reduce(, in order to comprehend,) the nearly infinite number of stimuli that reach the senses at any given moment. “in order to comprehend, ”是插入成份。 如果没有comprehend后面的逗号，则其前面的reduce就没有宾语了，句子反而有了问题。 我又查了XDF的原稿，确实有。虽然，此稿非真题复印，但我确信这里没有问题。 ANYWAY，还是非常感谢nina23！！！
