我认为选项E错误在于两个：其一，前半句时间壮语in the last year只能由过去时搭配，而给出的却是现在完成时；其二，more phones应该是are becoming increasingly common. 愚见，不知对否。

弱弱的问一句，in the last year 不是指最近的一年吗？不是应该用现在造成时的吗？in last year 和in the last year 是不一样的。

1) in the last year: within the last 12 month~present perfect is correct
2)here the main issue with e is parallelism. the two actions decribed: cost plummeting and phones becoming more common -->should be expressed in the form of parallelism.(thus D is better than E) use with to avoid this problem.
