I will take IBT in the beginning of July and I would like to share my review experience here with you guys.
Here goes my schedule for reciting vocabulary, which was made according to "Yangpeng's 17 days plan for GRE vocabulary"
I made plan 1 a few months ago, with 2 lists one day; plan 2 today, with 3 lists one day (coz I'll take IBT a months later)

[attach]47512[/attach]支持floorslab同学,我也正在用杨鹏的17天背GRE词汇,今天是第17天了,回想这2周多真的很辛苦但也特有成就感。但期间连续2天没能按时完成复习任务,或者说很急促地翻阅了一遍,导致这些单词比较生疏,使后几日的任务更重。感觉及时并高质量完成当日的任务非常重要,看似每日会很累,但实际上减少了日后的负担。当然托福词汇每日新学2个list会轻松些。不过离考试只有1个多月了,一定要每天练习听力,可以先用普林斯顿样题热身,会比较容易上手,基础好的话,直接用00年之后的真题。
wangyumei这本书不错的,要坚持背完哦, 我可每天监督你呀!

首先祝大家节日快乐!
汇报一下今天的复习状况:
听力做了三个练习:练习一,完全不在状态,中途开小差,还出现打瞌睡的状况——错误率:10/50; 练习二,在受到练习一的严重打击下,不得不竖起耳朵听了,终于又找回了一点信心——错误率:3/50; 练习三,现在进行时……惦记着CD,暂时中断 尚未统计:)
阅读做了一个练习5篇文章,觉得读得不错,可是题照错,要继续提高。
口语和写作暂时没有实践,最迟下个星期一该付诸行动啦~~~再也不能拿资料没到当托词偷懒了。
一点心得体会:跟读听力材料是一个提高听力和口语不错的方法,有时间还可以专门总结一下其中的习语,生词;也许有人会说网上已经有总结出来的,但我个人感觉,我自己总结出来的更容易记住,还印象特深刻;让我去背人家总结的,老背不住,背了也老忘。
PS:因为买的IBT资料还没寄到,我用的是原来上新东方时的教材。

多准备一些类似的题目。考试是很可能会出你准备过的题或者类似的题目。如果提前准备的充分,会信心大增,下面的题也会答得很好!!!

我还有20天,单词不单独背诵了,觉得有时候在文章里面背单词好像印象更深刻一点。建议你多做题,多总结。听一位5月份的考试的姐姐告诉我她的强项是阅读,但是没有想到,考试的时候竟然阅读成了弱项。总的来说阅读听力真的是重点,这2项基本上是每天都要练的。如果我时间可以倒转,我会努力抓阅读和听力的。找准几套题把他们吃透。真的是太重要了。希望我们可以一起努力!加油。。。

Reading Skill 1 Understand vocabulary from text
1.How to identify the question: The word X is closes in meaning to ……
The word X could best be replaced by ……
2.Where to find the answer: Information to help you to understand the meaning of an unknown word for phrase can often be found in the context surrounding the word or phrase.
3.How to answer the question:
Find the word or phrase in the passage.
Read the sentence that contains the word or phrase carefully.
Look for context clues to help you to understand the meaning.
Choose the answer that the context indicates.
Skill 2 Recognize Referents
1.How to indentify the question: The word X refer to ……
2. Where to find the answer:The pronoun or adjective is highlighted in the passage. The referent is generally in front of the highlighted word.
3.How to answer the question:
Locate the highlighted pronoun or adjective.
Look before the highlighted word for nouns that agree with the highlighted word.
Try each of the nouns in the context around the highlighted word.
Eliminate any definitedly wrong answers, and choose the best answer from the remaining choices.
Skill 3 Simplify meanings of sentences
1.How to indentify the question: Which of the sentences below best expresses the essential information……?
2. Where to find the answer: The targeted sentence is highlighted in the passage. Information to answer the question is in the highlighted sentence and may also in the context around the highlighted sentence.
3.How to answer the question:
Study the highlighted sentence carefully.
Break the sentence down into meaningful parts by looking for punctuation and transition expressions.
If the highlighted sentence makes references to information outside of the highlighted sentence, read the context around the highlighted sentence.
Study the answer choices, and eliminate definitely wrong answers.
Choose the best answer from the remaining choices.
Skill 4 Insert sentences into the passage
1.How to indentify the question: Look at the four squares……
2. Where to find the answer:The places where the sentence may be inserted are marked in the passage.
3.How to answer the question:
Look at the sentence to be inserted for any key words or ideas at the beginning or the end of the sentence.
Read the context before and after the insertion squares for any ideas that relate to the sentence to be inserted.
Choose the insertion square that is most related to the sentence to be inserted.
Reading Skill 5 Find factual information
1.How to indentify the question:According to paragraph X……
It is stated in paragraph X……
It is indicated in paragraph X……

2. Where to find the answer:The answers to these questions are generally found in order in the passage.

Choose a key word or phrase in the question.

Skill 8 Infer rhetorical purpose
1. How to identify the question: Why does the author……
The author mentions X in order to……

Study the context around the highlighted information, and ask yourself how the highlighted information is related to the context around it.

2 Where to find the question: Information needed to answer detailed questions is directly stated in the passage. The answers to detail question are generally found in order in the passage.
3 How to answer the question:
l Listen carefully to the details in the passage.
l Look for an answer that restates the information from the passage.
l Eliminate the definitely wrong answers and choose the best answers from the remaining choices.
Listening Skill 3: Understand the function
1 How to identify the question: Listen again to part of the passage.
Why does the speaker say this?
2 Where to find the question: The part of the passage that indicates what the speakers says will be replayed for you.
3 How to answer the question:
l Listen carefully to what the speaker says in the part of the passage that is repeated.
l Draw a conclusion about why the speaker says it.
Listening Skill 4: Understand the Speaker's stance
1 How to identify the question: Listen again to part of the passage.
What is the attitude , opinion, point of view of the speaker?
Select the sentence that best expresses how the speaker feels.
What does the speaker mean?
2 Where to find the question: The part of the passage that indicates what the speaker says will be replayed for you.

豆包兄是强人,红宝书(既俞敏洪的《GRE词汇精选》)对托福是杀鸡用牛刀,效果自然好,不过个人建议基础一般的同学,王玉梅的词汇书应该够了,
除非要追求托福考试,特别是阅读时实现或非常接近“零生词”,否则不建议背红宝书,尤其是刚开始备考时就背,那样对新手的“打击”较大,容易产生畏难情绪。
