标题: 两种GPA的算法，用哪种呢？
今天在一个GMAT 网站上看到有关GPA的问题，现在想请教一下有经验的XDJM，

请教，关于GPA的换算
目前，在本论坛，看到两个较为经典的GPA计算方法，
一、GPA计算方法十八各科成绩按等级乘以学分再以总学分除之。以百分制为例，
　　90至100为A等=4.0，80至89为B等=3.0，70至79为C等=2.0，60至69为D等=1.0，
　　60分以下为F等=0点。例如某学生的五门功课的学分和成绩为：A课程四个学分，
　　成绩92（A），应得点数为4*4=16，B课程三个学分，成绩80（B），应得点数为
　　3*3=9，C课程两个学分，成绩98（A），应得点数为2*4=8，D课程六个学分，成
　　绩70（A），应得点数为6*2=12，E课程三个学分，成绩89（B），应得点数为
　　3*3=9。以上五项成绩GPA：
　　　
　　　GPA=[（4*4）+（3*3）+（2*4）+（6*2)+（3*3）]/（4+3+2+6+3）=3.00
COLUMBIA的招生说明上也是明示这种方法。
二、
A 4.0 90-100
A- 3.7 85-89
B+ 3.3 80-84
B 3.0 75-79
B- 2.7 70-74
C+ 2.3 65-69
C 2.0 60-64
C- 1.7 55-59
D+ 1.3 50-54
D 1.0 45-49

因为这两种算法的差别很大，想请教各位是不是除非学校明确规定，可以按照对自己有利的方法算出GPA，填写在申请表上？这样会不会被不接受该算法的学校当作是对成绩的撒谎呢？：（
另外请问，GPA计算方法应该如何说明？；另外，如果学校的成绩单上不表明名次，是否应该单独出示一份关于名次的证明，让学校盖章。

If you can have a 名次的证明, that's good. For GPA calculation, don't worry too much. Schools usually will calculate again using their method.

1名次证明是要教授出示，还是出成绩的部门如教务处出示，
2需要盖章吗，

名次证明我觉得无所谓谁开，系里开或者教务处开都可以，但是章是一定要盖的。

by the way, yesterday i asked a staff in mba program about GPA calculation. she clearly told me that it is NOT important at all. they quite understand the difference between the two systems and usually use GPA to evaluate the domestic applicants. at the same time, they will take into account the university you have attended, the scores you got and other factors. she even said, if you don't know how to calculate it, just leave it blank on your application form.
