George Washinton Caver dedicated his life to the economic strenthening of the South with improvement of soil and diversification of crops.

答案是：strengthening the economy of the South through soil improvement and crop diversification

这里有考到dedicate to 后面必须要加doing吗？

还有答案中的那个through的用法是怎么回事呢？

哪位ＮＮ能解释下，谢谢．．．

但是有个地方要指出来，dedicate to 中的to 是介词，后面接名词或动名词，牛津中有一例：she dedicate her life to helping the poor

strenth 是名词，这里不能用strenthening 来表示名词

through 是表示通过方法

dedicate to 中的to 是介词

正确

dedicate sth to sth/doing sth

strengthening 和strength都是名词，意思不同根据意思，选strengthening

through+sth
